The Architects have incorporated the existing majestic Moreton Bay Ash trees and mature Banksia that were on the land into their design, helping to create privacy and a feeling that you are living within nature.

As you enter into the main living space there is a feeling of openness, warmth and serenity. The central living space, with it polished heated concrete floors, high ceilings, large retracting wooden sliders, opens out to the edible gardens and priceless nature reserve views. This room is all about inside outside living.

The central area flows seamlessly into the kitchen with its handcrafted recycled timber benchtop/ breakfast bar, stainless steel benchtops, St George oven and 5 burner gas cooktop and Miele dishwasher. The overhead timber feature with designer Tom Dixson pendants adds a feeling of casual luxury to the space. Next to this, is an inviting sunken living area with its oversized feature window overlooking the pool and sculptural tree scape outside. This area enjoys a large wood burning Jetmaster fireplace, custom built cabinetry and floor to ceiling metal sliders, letting the inside outside flow continue. A perfect area to relax after dinner with friends and family.

In the north eastern wing of the house is the master bedroom, with its calming leafy outlook and fully compactable windows, allowing fresh air and the cool ocean breezes in. Enjoy sizable custom-built robes and the innovative ensuite. You’ll feel like you’re in an outdoor shower when you’re actually fully enclosed indoors. Take in nature and the stars as you look up out of the oversized skylight above. Remove the showers decking panels below your feet and cleverly hidden beneath is a sunken bathtub. The shower side wall comes complete with louvres, open them up and soak in the sound of the waves rolling in as you bathe.

Also on the eastern side is another sizable bedroom, with high ceilings and built-in robes. There is a powder room next door, creating ample separation between the east wing bedrooms.

Above the east wing upstairs, is an adaptable mezzanine level that could be the perfect home office, rumpus room or media room. This has bifold doors for privacy and sound, plus metal fully compactable windows allowing the breeze to flow inside. Enjoy the picturesque “Juilet” balcony overlooking Spoonbill Park, walk out relax and listen to the birdsong.

On the north western wing of the home are two more generous light filled bedrooms with built ins and study nooks, plus a substantial family bathroom separating them. Also on the western side is the entrance from the carport, that takes you past the laundry with its custom-built cabinetry and mud room/ shoe area.

Set on a sizable 761 m2 block of land, enjoy the organic edible gardens, fruit trees, extensive native tree planting, designated fire pit area, large garden shed and extensive timber decking. There is plenty of room to entertain inside and out. The home is cleverly set back from the street, creating privacy and intrigue.

“I like the way the house its tucked away from the street, it’s got that privacy. It’s almost like the trees and the experience of coming over the entry was like walking over a sand dune, we were trying to keep that experience.” Steve Guthrie – Bark Architects.

There is also a large double carport with a sizable lockable storage area. Plus, new air conditioning has been incorporated throughout the property, should you need it, for your comfort.
